Who are we?
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operated for charitable and educational
purposes with in the Internal Revenue Code.
The idea of Niki's Pals 4 Paws came from Beth Snook – President & Founder. She used
to volunteered at the Kingman prison where they taught inmates "handlers" to train the
dogs over an eight weeks period. The dogs spend all day with a handler & a secondary
handler learning basic commands, socializing with other dogs and inmates. At the end of
the 8 week time there was a graduation ceremony that is open to the public. That
ceremony allowed the public and prospective adopters to see firsthand the obedience
lessons learned by the animals, as well as some special tricks the more advanced
handlers develop with the dogs. This was a great program for the dogs and inmates. The
only fallback that she saw was if the dogs were not adopted right away they went back to a
kennel and it could be very traumatizing on the dog. This is where Niki’s Pals 4 Paws
came up with the idea of fostering dogs instead of being in a kennel or run all day. Dogs
require human care and contact, love and interaction.
That is why we feel Fostering is so much more than just a place to stay until they find their
“Forever Homes”. It’s a place they are loved and cared for, trained and socialized in a way,
most of our dogs never knew. The transition is much easier on the dog and the new
adopter when going to their forever home.
WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. WE CAN ONLY TAKE IN WHAT WE HAVE ROOM FOR IN
OUR FOSTER HOMES. MOST OF THE TIME WE HAVE A WAITING LIST.

 | Rescuing animals from life threatening situations. | |
| To find permanent loving homes with qualified owners for rescued dogs. | |
| Assisting owners of dogs who can no longer keep them, to help find them new | |
| homes. | ||
| To work actively with animal shelters and other rescue organizations in the | |
| community towards our common goals of saving dogs' lives and reducing the pet over population by spay and neutering. | ||
| By educating the public about the advantages of rescuing a dog from shelters | |
| and rescue organizations, the need of spay and neutering dogs. | ||
| Educating owners and providing information on proper care and training. | |
| We do have an adoption fee. ALL our dogs are spay &/or neutered, given DH2PP+CV (puppies are given a least 2 puppy vaccines, while they are in our care they get 3 puppy vaccines), Rabies shot, and all dogs are micro-chipped. We do feed our dogs good name brand foods, because most of them, if not all of them come to us under or malnourished. We have their teeth cleaned if needed. We don't do this because we have to, we do it because we want to. Because each dog we take in did not ask to be brought into this world, they are here and they need affection, companionship and love. We give all the affection & companionship, gas, time and love freely, but we still need to pay for the vets, shots, micro-chips, teeth cleaning, medicine and food. Most of the time our adoption fee does not cover the costs we incurred with that pet, but it can help with the next dog we take in and the next and the next. Each of our dogs are placed in a foster home. There they are given love and affection, and shown lots of care until their forever home comes for them. Most of them are crate trained, taught basic commands, potty trained and socialized. No 2 dogs are a like, each dog comes with their own sad story or situation. There for we do not discount, barter or haggle. They deserve more, They deserve the BEST. |
